These numbers amaze me! I love TV, but life is busy enough that I probably average only an hour a day—I might squeeze in 2-3 hours on a day when I have a lot of free time, but that’s rare.

According to this report, this is “per person age 2+,” not “per household” (which is the upper line). Individuals spend nearly 5 hours on average (meaning some spend more!) watching TV each day? And leave their TV’s on more than 8 hours? Jeepers. We are a nation of couch potatoes. :P
